Most spaces we live in have floors. Stage and film have on set floors and are a unique and important part of a set design. In painting these one tries to use as many tricks to produce as quickly and fun as possible. Using bamboo poles to hold the brush is really fine. Try it, its a very easy technique. Its much easier on the ol back too. This upstage “rolling cart” is a part of the floor for designer Ralph Funicello’s fantastic set design “Arms and the Man” at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park playing this spring.
